eanwhile, another umpire should not have been following the ball as the left fielder made a leaping catch against the fence and pulled his dusted uniform off the ground. There he was, pumping his long arm in the air and confidently signaling an out to end the inning before coming in to tell his partner that he just witnessed a great catch. The problem was, the bases were empty and he was in the "A" position.
