More input was apparently needed, or, more likely, provided; and the more simplistic OBR rule just didn't leave enough room for a large number of scenarios that could be included in the FED test.

It's really not that hard

As much fun as it is to pick on FED (and as easy as they make it), the FED ruling on the DH is really not that hard to understand if you are already somewhat conversant with "conversational FED-ese." To find out your level of conversational FED-ese, lets take a little quiz.
