ack in Part I we visited with the "umpire who wouldn't move," an official who ended up ejecting a coach because the skipper "disagreed" about where the umpire should stand. That umpire couldn't believe that someone would prevent him from doing his job, and his job required him to be in just the spot he happened to be standing in.

I was surprised to hear that from a veteran official. Had he been a newer official, I wouldn't have been so surprised. (No offense to you "newer officials." (grin)
