The Missing Coach

Every job's gotta have a boss

he events depicted here occurred several years ago, but they are fresh in my mind. That's because I reviewed my journal. (grin) If you don't keep a journal....

At any rate, we're starting out on summer youth ball, and this seems very appropriate. 

The scene: The Rising Star Baseball School, a play-for-profit League run by Harold Allen, a former pitcher in the Astros organizagtion.

The site: Pepsi Sports Park, Mission, TX, a six-million dollar complex of six diamonds; two, three-sided concession stands; batting cages; pitching machines; volleyball courts; year-round pool. (And no dressing room for the umpires. Are you surprised?)

The subject: Are the McAllen Knights (9u) better than the McAllen Hurricane (10u)?
