ome erstwhile humorist once labeled the DH rule the 6.10 to Elm Street. I really don’t think even Freddy Kruger would have a clue how to deal with this particular nightmare, at least in its original format! Freddy adopted a pretty straightforward way of "simplifying" his problems; he terminated ‘em! So let’s see if we can make the DH rule a tad "simpler" too, eh? Without going to the extremes of course.

My editor thinks I'm trying to make a gallon of muck out of a quart of mire. He's convinced the NCAA DH rule is far, far more difficult. After working through the DH sections in the BRD, I'm convinced he's right.
