We have had enough of a diversion. Let’s get back to baseball. I need to state up front that if your league’s goal is really for the kids and not about a coach’s living out his dreams, then you need to get rid of biased and incompetent umpires as rapidly as possible. Since placing winning second is too much of a fantasy, let’s stop dreaming and get on with reality.
Complainers are losers
Having been on both the administrative and umpiring sides of youth sports, I can assure you that almost all complaints, even valid complaints, about officials by coaches are seen as sour grapes. By and large, it is a losing proposition for a coach to launch a complaint against an official. So, if you can’t beat ‘em….
