I’ll drop the quotes from this point forward. In advance, I know my editor agrees with my position: Professional coaches rarely get tossed.
In Part I, I showed a video that demonstrated coaches can be civil while disagreeing with umpires; I demonstrated that umpires and coaches can have a professional relationship, emphasizing mutual respect, on the field. Umpires should also realize that a quick trigger or an unnecessary ejection could be damaging to the careers of both the coach (who will have to answer to a school or conference) and the umpire (who may get scratched or have to answer to an assignor, who frequently is hired by the schools).
