y the bottom of the seventh, Dartmouth was leading 3-1, with two of those runs courtesy of some shabby Kentville defense. Kentville had led off the game with two hits but since then had gone hitless.
One for the money
Although Kentville couldn’t get a hit, the Dartmouth pitcher had issued many walks. Apparently my strike zone wasn’t as big as some thought. The lead-off batter for Kentville worked the count full. The next pitch, a curve ball, crossed the plate at the top of the strike zone.
At least I thought so.
He and the rest of the Kentville team didn’t.
"That's f***ing terrible! You're a f***ing joke!" he screamed as he stormed across the plate, headed for his dugout.
