The hole

here were several "plays" discussed. Here's the one I liked best. It comes from a Rattlesnakes v Bulldog playoff game. For those of you in Rio Vista and Rio Linda, that means it was the biggest game of the year.

For six innings it had been a pitching duel. There were a couple of walks on both sides. All with two outs. Finally, in the bottom of the sixth, a Bulldog senior hit a clean double to the right field gap. The stands put up a big enough whoop and holler that cars stopped out on Hwy 317 to figure out what was happening.

No outs! Maybe there'd be a score to break open the nothing to nothing game. So far, it was just a deep hole with nothing at the bottom.
