Clifton Cubs and Redland Reds

ur local Clifton Cub uniforms always remind me of the Redland Red's school colors. Clifton wears the green and white, Redland boasts the red and white. Clifton's uniforms are green and red, but their sleeves are white.

Baseball rules agree. The uniforms of all team members "should" be of the same color and style.

Somewhere back in time, at least 20 years ago, I copied a note from the then NFHS rules interpreter, Brad Rumble. I know it's more than 20 years ago from the depth in the pile at which I found the notes. Mr. Rumble said:

The rule encourages consistency with all players being dressed as much alike as possible, but it is not mandatory that they be the same. Therefore, the pitcher may wear a non-white undershirt even though all his teammates may be wearing white.
