ick Nelson, living in retirement in Connecticut, works for the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring. Dick served major league baseball as an umpiring coordinator. He wrote the Manual For The Two-Umpire System for the Umpire Development Program (UDP). UDP in St. Petersburg, Florida, along with major league baseball, owns the copyright to the book, first published in 1991. The copyright notice in my copy lists 1991-1996.
