Play: In the third inning, the Bobcats have put runners on first and second with nobody out. Coming to bat is the Lions' clean-up hitter, Dalton Trumbo, who is leading the league in batting. Coach Perez calls time and goes out to visit Bubba on the mound. "Listen, son, pitch to him, but don't give him nothin' good to hit. This is the old intentional, unintentional walk." Probably that comment is where Perez blew it. Bubba's first pitch is right down Broadway. Trumbo takes a mighty swing — and misses. "Time!!" screams Perez, heading for the mound.
