Mark Wegner is "The Man"

I am certainly not going to take your time to explain the Davis Stance. Carl has done a wonderful job doing that. If you watched the play-offs, you saw Gerry Davis illustrate it — perfectly.

My job is to take you on a short journey that touches several points of using the stance and some of the issues that come forward when you select to use "the coming thing."

Shortly after the now infamous MLB Umpire resignations in 1999, I watched one of the new "replacement" umpires who had come up to fill the void of the 22 missing umpires.
